Communications Officer Dar es Salaam

Manage effective and imaginative communication of Twaweza in East Africa across different media. Design, write, produce and distribute communication materials. Develop and foster high standards of publications and other communication. Serve as the first point of information contact for Twaweza, and respond in a manner that is clear, timely and effective and helps to build a positive image of the organisation. Manager Experimental Interventions Dar es Salaam (ref 1819)

Experimental Interventions implements a limited number of large scale experiments in sectors where certain development problems have persisted despite concerted efforts and investments. The experiments will test interventions that are potential 'paradigm changers' in the sector. Twaweza will start three Randomized Control trials in education: one in Uganda and two in Tanzania.

Executive Assistant to Head of Twaweza Dar es Salaam

Supports the Head to effectively undertake his/her responsibilities and tasks.
Manages the Head schedule and workload; supports the Head to be 'on top of' his/her tasks and provide effective support/supervision to senior staff.
Manages information and communication flow between the Head's office and staff and external parties, including correspondence, telephone and visitors.

Program Assistant Uwazi

Support Uwazi to effectively achieve its goals and deliver on its outputs and work plans by overseeing administrative, communication and data collection, and learning and monitoring needs.

Learning & Communications Assistant Dar es Salaam

Support the Learning & Communications Unit to effectively achieve its goals. Coordinate and document learning activities and communicate lessons. Contribute to communications, as well as monitoring and administrative needs. Apply to jobs@twaweza.org by 22 January 2012.
