Twaweza in the news
The KenyanVibe Crew portrays ShujaazFM, whose comic books have become the largest print magazine in Kenya. 600,000 copies are distributed as inserts in the Daily Nation every month, but its reach is even greater. One third of all Kenyan youth follow the struggles and successes of the ShujaazFM characters, who engage audiences as they avoid trouble, turn education into income and learn about their rights. A triangulation of channels multiplies ShujaazFM’s publicity: In addition to the monthly comic book, ShujaazFM can be heard daily on radio shows on 22 FM stations, received as text on mobile phones, watched on its website, followed on facebook and twitter.
