Successes shouldn't dig grave for Museveni

Morrison Rwakakamba, the Manager of Twaweza Uganda, has written an opinion editorial that has been published by The Independent newspaper in Uganda. He presents an argument against President Museveni’s idea that traditions, cultural identities and networks are obsolete ways for organizing people to tackle issues in the capitalist era.
Rwakakamba argues that today’s Uganda can flourish and enable its people to generate wealth by levering the good in pre-capitalist networks beyond politics and harnessing them as platforms for transformational information, capital mobilization and wealth creation. He gives examples of the Ayimara network in Bolivia and the Asian community in Uganda, both of which have been able to create wealth through utilizing networks harnessed by their traditional norms.
