The Star newspaper in Kenya requests that leaders and residents in the Coast Region adress challenges in education. The region is at the bottom of the KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) results for 2011. This fact confirms the findings of the Uwezo Kenya Annual Learning Assessment. The author of the op-ed advises that leaders should start adressing issues raised in Uwezo Kenya report as a way to enhance education in the six counties of the Coast Region.
